There's no need to throw your long-handled dish brush away when the head is dead! Simply remove the head by pulling down the small, metal retaining ring and open the arms to slot in the new head. You can throw the dead head in the compost and it will biodegrade with your natural waste.

No nasty pesticides are required to harvest the plant, which means it doesn’t harm the environment. The bristles are made from sisal rather than plastic, which would take hundreds of years to biodegrade.
